Palmyra, New York Trip

Josh and I took a trip this past week! Without our kids! Many thanks to both sets of grandparents for making it possible!!! We flew out Wednesday night on a red-eye. The flights were honestly the worst! Being pregnant just made it even more unbearable for me! Luckily, I have the best husband ever, and he let me keep my legs up on him for most of the flight. We arrived in Rochester Thursday at 11 ish. Tricia (Josh's older sister), picked us up from the airport and we headed to Niagra Falls! I had never been, so it was quite the experience! It was opening day for the Maid of the Mist, so we took a ride and got wet! It was so cold and windy, but well worth the adventure! At Niagra Falls

Getting soaked on the Maid of the Mist

Next, was a brief stop at the Hill Cumorah. It was still cold and windy, but a neat experience.
At the Hill Cumorah

At the Martin Harris farm
Day 2: In Fayette, NY
At the Grandin building, where the Book of Mormon was printed
On the Smith farm
A view of the Temple thru the trees of the Sacred Grove
Josh's attempt at a car picture - all of the pictures were pretty funny looking!
Josh loves lighthouses, so we had to make a stop for this one! It was beautiful there! Still a little windy, but at least the sun was out!

Day 3: At the Palmyra Temple: Josh and I walked over to the Temple in the morning and walked around. It was lovely!

Lunch at the Muddy Waters - yummy food! We ate lunch outside in the sun! Of course, Josh's chair was in the shade.
Our lovely tour guide, Tricia
Our last stop of the trip was the Jell-O museum! We had so much fun! Thanks to Trish for being our personal tour guide and chauffeur! (Trish is the manager at the Palmyra Inn where we stayed.) We loved chatting and enjoying your company! We were glad that we took the trip when we did, and were able to see so many things! We missed our kids while we were gone, but they were spoiled and loved by their Grandmas and Grandpas! Thanks again!

My WICKED Weekend!

So a REALLY long time ago, Josh bought me tickets to Wicked. We bought 4 tickets for a Sunday show. As the time drew closer, Josh was able to trade our 4 tickets for 2 SUPER DUPER tickets to a Saturday matinee!!! Fourth row!!! My parents watched our kids so we could have a date! We went to Olive Garden for lunch - YUM! I have been craving their salad and breadsticks! We went and saw the musical - which was EVERYTHING I could have wanted! (Since Wicked tickets were so much money, we agreed that this would be my Christmas, Valentine's, and Anniversary present.) Needless to say, I had been waiting a VERY long time! It was perfect!
Then, we went to visit Staci, who had her baby right before the musical started. I got to hold little Porter Reed just hours after he was born! Josh claims that this was my perfect day - eating good food, seeing a musical, and holding a baby. Can't get much better than that!

Our East this year was fun filled! We had both sides of our families down for dinners and egg hunts Saturday and Sunday. I took lots of pictures Saturday with Cox cousins, but none on Sunday with Putnams. It was a fun change to have everybody drive down to visit us! Thanks to those who made the trek! I appreciated the break from driving up two days in a row! Our kids got adorable new Easter outfits - as you can see! Thomas got a new tie, and couldn't have been more handsome! Our girls looks so cute in their hot pink polka dot dresses! We sure have cute kids! (Please note my lovely daffodils in the background!) Hope you all had a Happy Easter as well!

Twin Update

I went to the Dr. today for a check up! Our twins are doing great! The Dr. saw both hearts, and both babies were moving. The Dr. said that movement is the best indication that they are doing well! I asked a whole bunch of questions, and feel a little more on top of this! I have painful varicose veins, so I got a prescription for some special stockings/tights that should help. I am not a fan of tights to begin with, but I'll try anything that will help! I was concerned that I had only gained 2 lbs since my last appointment, but our Dr. wasn't worried. I am eating all the time, so I am sure I will see the result soon! I also set up an appointment with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Dr! We will go in on May 7th for an ultrasound! Hopefully, they will be able to tell if we are having boys, girls, or one of each! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
