August Adventures - Part 4 Grandma Hayes' Funeral

Grandma Hayes passed away in August.  We had her funeral in Bountiful.  Grandma had money set aside to fly all her grandchildren in from all over.  It was beautiful to be surround by family.  Just the family took up the entire chapel.  

These sisters.  The Hayes sisters.  When I saw this, I realized once again that they are a force to reckon with.  They are strong, kind, tough, lovely pioneer women.  What a great legacy Grandma Hayes started.  

The entire gym at the stake center was filled with family.  What an amazing ward and stake to do the luncheon for such a big family!

Getting all the siblings together doesn't happen very often!  

Another generation of Hayes women!  Love to be a part of this family!

August Adventures - Part 3 DENVER!

Danielle and Clarissa took a road trip to go visit Dave who was working in Denver for a couple weeks.  I decided to take the kids and join them!  Josh joined us in the weekend.  It was such a fun getaway before school started.

On Saturday, we went to Rocky Mountain National Park.  We hiked our hearts out and took in the beauty of the Rockies.  Wow!  It was wonderful!

This hotel was kinda a dive - like there were people with birds, dogs and who know what else roaming the halls at all hours of the night.

On Sunday, we drove through a nature reserve place.  We saw some bison, deer, birds and a million ground hogs.

On our drive home, we stopped at the Charlie Tayler Water Wheel.  The cute little mining town had a train too.
