Family Photo Shoot

Jarilyn came down on Saturday to take some family pictures for us. She shot 104 total! You are awesome, Jarilyn! There were quite a few good ones. These are a few. It was hard to get Bella to look, or smile in most of the pics, but what do you think? Which do you like the best? I need a big one of the family for my wall.

Kaley kept saying, "Cheese!" Jarilyn was trying to get Bella to look, so Kaley stood up to make sure that Jar knew she was smiling!

Bella Rose - 8 months old

Time is going too fast! Bella is already 8 months old! She is getting good at rolling anywhere to get where she wants! She can inch her way across a room, and is learning how to use her legs to help her. I am ok with her just rolling for now! She is such a sweet, cuddly baby! Right now, Bella has a sinus infection, (along with her siblings), and I fear is having an allergic reaction to the medication we were given. She was up a few times throwing up last night. I feel so bad when the littlest ones are sick! Poor girl! Even through her sickness though, she let me snap a couple of pics today - so enjoy!

Peach Pie!

On Monday, I baked my first peach pie! All by myself! In my opinion, my Mom's peach pie is the best! So I tried to replicate it! I think it was delicious! (if I do say so myself!) I was quite impressed with my domesticity! :) It was the perfect treat for a Fall day!

Primary Program

Hooray! I survived my first Primary Program! Kaley got pretty nervous, and didn't end up saying her part. We did get her to say her part in practice on Saturday, but we had to bribe her big time! I felt bad that she got so nervous! Everything went quite well though! The Spirit was very strong, and you could feel the testimonies of the sweet children. The music was moving! There is nothing in the world like Primary children singing "I am a Child of God!" I get teary eyed every time! I am glad that it went so smooth! I am glad that it is over! I have a list of things to do better and different next year! I think for a first time it was great! I am inspired by the kids in this ward! They are amazing! I LOVE being in Primary - even though I have never been more stressed in my life! I can see that I have so much to learn from these Primary kids and the other leaders! I wrote in my journal tonight, and was thinking that I will never underestimate a Primary calling again! Every calling in Primary is so important! I appreciate all the teachers more and more every week! And I must say that I have the best counselors ever! They are simply amazing! Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts this week! I am glad everything here turned out well!

Old McDonald's

Josh had a later golf tournament on Friday for work, so I took the kids to McDonalds for dinner. I let them play on the play place there since I had time to kill! I learned quite a few things about the kids that day. I already knew that Thomas was adorable when he comes down the slide!

I was amazed at how well Kaley helped her little brother learn the ropes! She took him around a few times and showed him where the slides are. She would make sure that he was doing ok, and was very protective of him around the other kids.

I was also amazed at how friendly Kaley can be! She made friends with a little girl named Marion while we were there. This little girl was a couple years older than Kaley, but they played nicely together! She talked about her friend Marion the whole way home. I just love how accepting little kids are! They will just play with anyone!

Kaley the Clown

Kaley was invited to a birthday party for a little boy in her preschool class on Monday.  We went to the party, and this little boy's dad was a clown.  It was a "Clown School Party."  Kaley was terrified of the clown!  She wouldn't let me leave!  So I stayed.  They made cute little clown hats, (which Kaley wouldn't wear until we got home), played pin the nose on the clown (which Kaley also wouldn't participate in because the "Clown" was putting the blind fold on the kids and spinning them), played with balloons, and threw plates of whipped cream at the clown's face - (also which Kaley wouldn't do because, you guessed it, the Clown was involved!)  It was such a cute party!  I wished Kaley wouldn't have been so scared of the clown!  She wouldn't make eye contact or anything with him!  It was kinda making me laugh!  She did see him take off his red clown nose for minute, and she turned to me to say, "Mom, he has a real nose under there!"  I guess that would be kinda scary to think that someone actually looked like a clown all the time!  I was trying to be sympathetic, but it was hard.  :)  She came home and told Josh all about it like nothing was wrong.  Whatever.  I am just hoping that this scarred of everything, not talking in front of other people, and being shy thing is just a phase!  

Colors Concert

Josh and I had a fun date this weekend!  It is my favorite date!  I bought Josh Colors concert tickets for Father's day this year.  The concert was Saturday.  My family watched the kids while Josh and I went out to dinner and to the concert.  I love how entertaining this group is!  They had us laughing so hard!  It was a good time!  Thanks again to our babysitters!

Danielle's Homecoming

Danielle went to Homecoming on Saturday!  Her date was Taylor.  We got there just in time to see her leave.  Isn't she lovely?!

A family day at the Zoo

I told Josh all I wanted for my birthday was a family day. We went to the Zoo in the morning. Then we dropped the kids off at Grandma's in Kaysville and I got a date! We went to Olive Garden for lunch and walked around a few stores. It was an enjoyable day!
