Last Sunday we went up to Sandy for a BBQ and Grammie's birthday. We started playing a keep away game with the kids, and before we knew it, we were all pretty into it! I grabbed my camera to document the fun.
Danielle kept getting bopped on the head with the ball.
When the ball went out of the circle, it helped to tackle one of the kids while another person ran after the ball.
They raced to get the ball when it left the circle.
The twins were not as excited by our rough game of keep away, so they played with red cups and the hose instead.
A lot of teasing happened...
We laughed pretty hard at Danielle the whole time. :)
We tried to get a "ball coming at the camera" shot, but this was as good as we got.

One thing I learned from my childhood was that I was not then, nor would I ever, a fair match with Dad. Having a 6'5" Dad made for long games of keep away, many lopsided basketball scrimmages, and a love for scrappy ball to fight back. :) These pictures are proof that he is teaching my kids the same valuable lessons. I wouldn't have it any other way.
What a fun afternoon! My face cheeks were so tired from smiling and laughing! And the kids came home super worn out!
