A Family Fun Day!

October 23rd was the end of the kids' 1st quarter for school, and that means the 24th there was no school!  So I asked Josh if he could take a half day off and come play with us!  We went to the Zoo and had a lovely time!  It was perfect weather!  They have re-done so much of the Zoo and Josh hadn't seen it in a long time.  

 The kids stop and climb on every animal statue for a photo op for Mom.  I don't even have to ask anymore!

 We didn't get to see the bird show this time - they had already closed for the season.  The birds were all sitting out on their little posts in the sun though, so we did see them for a minute!

 We watched the zoo keepers feed the seals and sea lions.

 Rizzo the polar bear was no where to be seen.

 But these bears were up and walking around!

 Yummy picnic lunch!

 That night, we drove up AF canyon and met Cam and Rach and cousins and Tanner and Kassy for a campfire.  So much fun!  These cousins love each other!

Fall Break - Muldoon, Part 4

Before we left, Josh took me over to a spot he found with the kids.  There is a pretty cool log that stretches across the river.  The kids liked to climb out on the log and Josh skipped rocks at them.  Don't worry - no children were harmed!  ;)

 Papa always has a few jobs for us to do while we're there - the boys were clipping off a big re-bar that was sticking up.  You gotta watch out for those "barking spiders!"  Ha!
