Moab - Part 2

The 2nd day, we visited Hole in the Rock - which isn't in Grand County, but we'd never been.  It seem expensive to see the actual homes in the rock, so we just walked around.  

 Then we went on this fun Mill Creek hike.  Such a perfect family hike!  It's like our Grotto trail in Payson, but a little longer and more water!  :)  Perfect!  The kids loved hiking over the rocks, and tromping through the river.

 Then we went to the hotel to swim!  After that, we went back to Arches to explore a bit more!

 By the time we were doing the last few arches to see - T was pretty dead tired!  The first day we had hiked 9+ miles.  The second was only like 5+.  :)

 The last day, we drove up the canyon to see Castle Valley - nothing to see there!  We stopped to explore by the Colorado River.

Moab - Part 1

Kaley is in 4th grade, and in Utah when you are in 4th grade, you do a county report.  Kaley chose Grand County - because she knew that was where Moab is!  We took a weekend to go explore one of our favorite places.  We used to go to Moab 3-4 times a year for a couple years with Josh's job.  I would put the kids in the stroller and walk around town, visit the library - my favorite one ever, and play at so many parks.  Those were the simple days!  We haven't been in at least 7 years!  

We thought we would save a little $ and stay in Green River.  When we pulled in, the pool was under construction!  That was the main reason we chose this hotel - the indoor pool!!!  Well, we stayed there for the night, cancelled for the other two nights and booked at a little more expensive hotel IN Moab.  Their pool was open!  ;) 

 We went to Arches National Park the first day!  There may be more pics of Kaley than anybody else just because she needed lots for her report.  :)

 Jace and Sophie were so cute with the little trail markers.  They would stack as many little rocks as they could find on the existing stacks.

 We ate lunch in the car on the drive around to see the Arch from below.  Can you see it in the background?
