December was FULL of so much fun! I got a new camera - which I am still learning how to use.. but it was fun to document all these events! I felt so blessed to be a part of so many wonderful things in December! What a wonderful time of year! Enjoy a peek into a super busy month at the Cox house!

We went to the Home Depot to get our Christmas tree this year. I didn't love the look of any of the trees that were untied, so we took our chances with a tied up, frozen stiff one! This kid and his faces crack me up!
SO many of my pictures have a blurry boy in them! They don't want their individual picture taken, but LOVE to get in on ANYONE else's!
When we got it home...
We went to see a couple friends get baptized one Saturday. I loved this sweet note from Jace to his friend.

Decorating the tree - Josh had tithing settlement the Saturday that we decorated the tree. The tree had a hard time standing up, and fell a few times. With Josh gone, I was left to deal with it and fix it. I made my kids a little nervous with how grumpy I was with that dang tree! Glad it stayed up for the rest of it's stay in our home! I may have thrown it out before Christmas, had it decided to act up again! ;)
Silly Walmart finds.
We took the YM and YW to Music and the Spoken Word one Sunday. It was amazing! It was just the day before Kaley's birthday, so she got to come too!
I will never forget the feeling I had when the Choir turned and sang, "God Be With You Til We Meet Again" to the audience. The spirit in the room was amazing!
My heart is just filled to the brim with love for these kiddos! What special youth we have in our ward!
Not to mention, I finally get to do some of it with this girl!!!

We had a Ugly Sweater Christmas Party with the Young Women. I just love spending time with these girls! I love the leaders, and I just love the spirit these young women bring!

We went to a couple BYU basketball games in December. It is one of our favorite things to do! I love that Papa and Grandma are SO generous and share their tickets with us!
My little Cub Scout. He was working on one of his requirements one night and I couldn't help but snap a pic!
Annual Kneaders Christmas Elf shifts! I work at Kneaders in the middle of the night during December. I help create gift baskets and do a million and a half "fancy wraps." That's where we take regular wrapped bread and then wrap it up again and add ribbons and sprigs of twigs. It looks lovely! I love the late night chats with all these girls that have become good friends. Some are from my ward, and some are from close by, others are family of friends - we just all come together, drink gallons of water and caffeine and make baskets for Christmas! I just love it! It really helps with my Winter blues - I get out, talk to friends, and create things! Win win win!
Zumba is the other thing that keeps me sane in winter! We had a little party after Zumba one day at our friend's house. We did a fun gift exchange and had a yummy breakfast! It is amazing how these ladies have become a part of my life! We are all so different, but can cheer each other on in our lives no matter what!

Oh, and then THIS happened.
Our Elf, Eddie, had a little accident. You see, Eddie was hiding in the ceiling fan light fixture. The light was turned off all day while the kids were at school. At some point before dinner, the light was turned on. We ate dinner, and then I sent the kids to go shower. Thomas noticed a smell as he went up the stairs to go shower. We thought it was something burning/melting upstairs, so we frantically started looking. Not finding anything, and not being able to quite place what kind of smell it was... the search kinda fizzled. Josh went back to our room, and came back out knowing what the smell was! He quickly turned off the fan light, and started to assess the damage.
Our Elf's leg had melted - fused - to the light bulb!!!
As he took out the light bulb, it was smoking. I am quite convinced that there were angels literally blowing on that light bulb to keep it from sparking fire. We were seconds away from a house fire, no doubt.
The twins and Bella were quite devastated. They wrote on the white board their messages. I feel VERY blessed that this was all that happened. It could have been so much worse! Santa did send us another Elf, Chip. Chip has no legs. Maybe Santa doesn't trust us with Elves with legs anymore. Or maybe that's all that was left at the North Pole.
$3 tickets to a BYU game is hard to pass up! Here we are in our nosebleed seats!
Bella's class party - I did Christmas dictionary with the kids.
We took our YW to see Savior of the World in SLC. I just loved it! It was neat to see the Savior's life played out this way. I particularly loved the angels in heaven watching everything that happened. The stage and set were magnificent!

WOW! Phew! What a long post! I just love reliving all the fun we had in December!
