Christmas Eve Morning we went up to Kaysville to celebrate with Coxes. We had breakfast and played with cousins.
When we were ready to open gifts, we called Chalae and Co. to skype with us while we opened presents. It was chaos!
We set the Cousins in the corner so they could see all the action.
Momma Cox also made each of the kids and couples a beautiful pieced and quilted Christmas blanket! My kids have used theirs every night since! Mine and Josh's is super soft and so warm!
Next was the Hayes Rollerskating Party! This is a yearly tradition that we look forward to every year!
There are also bouncy toys to play on too! It wears out the kids just right!
Thomas decided that he liked to rollerskate on the carpet better.
Ending with the Hokey Pokey!
We were home to our house by 3 and had the rest of the evening to celebrate together! We played with our new toys, cleaned up, made pizza for dinner, sang Christmas songs by the piano, attempted to read the Christmas story from the scriptures, and baked cookies! Our pictures of singing by the piano are hilarious to me. In any given picture, someone is crying, getting in trouble, climbing, or escaping. Classic! (This is also how FHE nights go as well!) :)
After our failed attempt at reading the Christmas story, Josh had the brilliant idea to have them draw their version on our cool new butcher paper Coxes gave us. It was a hit! WE may do this every year!
We had to throw out the Magic Reindeer Food for Santa's reindeer! Kaley made some in her Kindergarten class. It has oats, glitter and peanuts. The Reindeer will see the glitter on the snow, smell the oats and eat the peanuts! It worked!
Last was our Christmas Eve present! PJs! The kids were thrilled this year with Mom's choice of jammies for them!
It sure is hard to get them all to stand in the same place and hold still for a picture!

Sampling Santa's cookies! I have to say that after we put out the plate of cookies for Santa, I found Bella hiding in the corner. I asked her what she was doing and she said nothing. We then discovered that she had taken a "bite" out of one of Santa's cookies! We got a laugh out of it, but she started crying. I think she felt bad!
That's our Christmas Eve! We had a blast this year, and had fun making new traditions and continuing some old ones too!
