We left Wednesday afternoon for Idaho for a quick visit. The kids were so excited! Thursday morning, the kids were watching the crop duster zoom back and forth in the back field. It was pretty cool!
Then, we packed up the car and headed to Redfish for the day. It was seriously perfect weather! We got there just before noon and were in our swim suits by one. We walked around a bit at first and threw a million rocks into the lake.
We tried to see who could take the least steps across the tiny bridges on the path.
We got in our suits, put our hair up, and slathered on the sun screen and we were ready for some fun!
This is one of my favorite pictures of Jace. I think quite a few of my favorite pictures have been taken at Redfish. It really is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!
Thomas brought his butterfly net so he could catch fish while we were there. Josh took the kids out into the water, and caught a few right away! The kids were thrilled!
We played in the sand and buried all the feets!

Aunt Trish got off work at 2 and treated us to some ice cream!
Then the fun began! We got a paddle boat and the kids loved that.

I couldn't decide which one of these I liked better of Kaley and McCall. They are just the cutest cousins!
Trish bought us dinner from the Gazebo and we ate it on the beach. After a sandy dinner, we showered off and went down to have a campfire and roast s'mores.
We didn't leave until about 8 that night, which made for a long ride back to Jerome. Sophie and Jace were out in 2 minutes (they didn't get naps - a first for this mom - I really just went with the flow and we seriously played all day! It was so nice!) Thomas fell asleep, but woke back up during one of the slow-downs through the towns. The girls slept good. I'm so lucky to have such great family up there! It was fun to sit on the beach and chat with Aunt Audra and Mikesell. Kaley loved playing with Call. Bella loves Mikesell, and hanging out with her. It was fun to see Uncle Jeff play in the water with the kids and employees. Such a perfect day. Sigh - when can I go back?
Friday was destined to be a play day! I went in to town to visit my Great Grandma and Grandpa Daw and took Bells and Jace with me. They played nicely with Grandma's toys and I had a nice visit.
We came back and played outside and at the barn for the rest of the day! Thomas brought his baseball stuff since he was going to miss a couple games during the trip. Papa's yard is the perfect place for kids! They love the "park" and all the grass! We did lose Sophie for a minute. I came home from town, and I was looking for Sophie to say hi. She was no where to be found! So I rallied the troops, and we all started looking! We couldn't find her! Then, as a last thought, I said Go look in the car! There she was! Eating Skittles and playing with my sunglasses. I asked her if she heard me calling for her and running around looking for her. She just smiled and nodded her head yes. What a scare she gave me!
Grandma Del had some bubbles for my kids to play with. Here they are breaking them in!

My Papa sat and played bubbles with the kids! They were laughing so hard! I think they had Papa laughing pretty hard too! :)
Papa was playing with them and trying to catch the bubbles in his mouth to eat them. Oh, there were so many giggles!
There was a big flock of seagulls above us for a minutes. The kids always look so cute looking up to the sky!

We just had such a great time visiting and playing with cousins!
Thank you to Papa and Grandma for letting us come crash and play! It was such a nice trip, and a perfect break from "life." We love you!!!
