Sand Hollow State Park

Saturday, we drove out to Red Cliffs Reserve, but they were already full!  No parking!  We came up with a plan B super quick, and went out to Sand Hollow State Park.  We had our swim suits on, and a picnic packed, so it was perfect!  The water was freezing cold - like hurt my feet too cold!  The kids didn't seem to mind one bit!  

 I love it when these two hold hands!  They are the cutest friends!

 We went back to the hotel after a few hours to swim some more.  Then we showered and went out to eat.  We walked around a garden place up by pioneer park.  It was beautiful!

 Sunday before we drove out, we stopped by the temple to walk around the grounds.  

Snow Canyon State Park

A couple weekends ago, we went to St George for a little quality family time.  The kids didn't have school on Friday, so we made a long weekend out of it! We have never been to Snow Canyon State Park, so we headed there to explore!  

There are lava tubes - little tunnels and caves caused by lava.  We loved crawling around and playing in the dark!  It was crazy!

 The above ground views were spectacular!  I love all those red rocks!

 The boys ran around chasing lizards and trying to catch them. 

 Sophie and I loved finding all the cactus everywhere!

 This second cave went SO far back!  

We found these "mexican jumping beans" in the sand.  I'm not really sure what they were, but they weren't really bugs.  They could bounce on their own!  

 These rocks are amazing.  I love the secret holes, tunnels and waves made by the wind.  They are a work of art!  

 Jace found a little friend - a caterpillar.  

 Pioneer rocks - where the pioneers climbed up this big hill to write their names up there.  Crazy!

 We also saw some petrified sand dunes. 

 We visited Jenny's Canyon - a cool slot canyon.  

 Kaley wants an earring holder like this - a bunch of tiny holes for her jewelry.  

It was a cool place to visit!  We loved how everything there was pretty family friendly - lots of tiny, easy hikes. I was SO glad that it was a super sunny day!  My favorite!
