March 1st - Sunday dinner. Celebrating a new baby Beckham, born February 28th and March birthdays! All 12 grandkids all together! Who knew with Covid-19, that this would be our last gathering for a while!
The boys wanted me to try "new" haircuts. I'm not super adventurous in this area, but I gave it a whirl for the boys!
I took Bella to the eye dr - she didn't pass her eye exam at her 12 year old check up, so we made an appointment. We tried a new eye dr - Dr Mendenhall. We like him! She definitely needs glasses! So we tried on some, and ordered some! Which ones do you think we chose?
I made her try on these because I thought they looked just like my first pair of glasses that I got in 4th grade.
We needed to buy Josh new temple pants - his clasp broke. His mom was out of town, and now that they live in Idaho, it's not as easy to pass things back and forth. So she talked me through it over the phone! I was pretty happy with the result! We were able to go to the temple for a date that week too!
Crazy hair day!
Our friends, the Lees, had extra dry wall from their basement project and heard that we were finishing ours, so they gave us their leftovers! We went over and hauled it home.

Bad news for Kaley! March 7, Kaley had played 2 soccer games Friday night, played soccer with friends Saturday, then while hanging out with friends - she was playing basketball in someone's driveway before leaving, and she twisted her ankle. She came home and was in so much pain, we took her to the urgent care. They did x-rays and she had a small fracture on her growth plate. She had to wear a boot, and go see a orthopedic dr in a week. Soccer life = put on hold. :(

March 10 - Josh and I went to see Dear Evan Hansen! It was our anniversary date! We went to Olive Garden and then up to The Eccles theater. This was the week that Covid-19 stuff got crazy - like Wednesday or Thursday was when Rudy Gobert was diagnosed with it. So after that news, I was freaking out that we had been downtown with all those people in the theater! I made Josh not touch anything the whole night! Especially in the stairwell of the parking garage! We hand-santized up to our elbows once we got back to the car! But, what a great night! The show was so moving! At one point, I was ugly crying, and you could hear grown men sniffling throughout the whole balcony where we were!
Bella's glasses came in! She was thrilled to see everything clearly!
Campfire night! Kaley laid on the grass away from the smoke so her boot wouldn't get stinky!
By this time, we knew that school had been cancelled due to the virus. We were trying to wrap our heads around what that meant for us. We know that we will begin school in an online format, but don't know how that will look yet. We tried to get some fresh air each day, but it's hard to go very far with Kaley and her bum ankle. She tried to scooter for a little, but it's hard. We will try to find her a knee scooter.
I am excited but nervous to have all this time with family all around. Josh has also been told to work from home, so we will see how that will work. It's hard because our basement is empty and being worked on, and the garage and guest room are full of everything that was in the basement! It will be a challenge, but we will make it work!
