Lion and Monkeys and Bears! Oh My!

Another Halloween has come and gone! This year, we borrowed costumes for the older kids from our neighbor! The kids loved them, and I loved them because it saved us a lot of money! This year we were the Cox Zoo! Kaley was our lion, Thomas and Bella were monkeys and Jace and Sophie were little bears.

We did Halloween a little differently this year because of all the germs and because we have really little babies. We decided to stay home, and have a Trick or Treat Hunt! We had Aunt Jarilyn come join us for the fun! Josh hid all the candy upstairs. Then, we sent the kids up there with flash lights and told them to find the candy! What a hit! They think flashlights are the coolest! After they found all the candy, we let them have a few pieces, popped some popcorn and watched our version of a scary movie - Pooh's Heffalump Halloween! Oooh! We only made it halfway through then the kids got bored. On to the next! We got out some glow sticks that we had saved from the 4th. (We buy them in bulk because our kids love them so much!) We played glowsticks in the dark, and then took them up to the bath! They make bathtime SO much more fun! I think the kids liked our version of Halloween this year!

Finding candy...

TA-DA! Bella was impressing us with her skills of putting the bracelets from one arm to the other! After every bracelet slid down her wrist, she would open and shut her hands like she was waving. It was the funniest thing! What a silly girl! I love this little monkey!

As a side story: We woke up this morning to the sound of Thomas saying, "OK - IT'S TIME TO FIND ALL THE CANDY!!!!" We thought he had broken into downstairs and gotten candy out! Josh went out to find that he had "hidden" the glowsticks around the room and was yelling to the girls to come find the "candy!" Oh the things they come up with!
