Soccer games started this week for Thomas and Kaley. We will have a busy month of September with soccer games 4 of the 5 nights during the week! :) Here are a few snap shots of the first games! Thomas was "out" first so I had to snap a pic of him sitting SO patiently!
Here he is chasing after the ball. He really runs with determination! :) He had so much fun!
The highlight of his game was getting to be goalie! He loved that Dad got to stand next to him, and help him through it. With about 2 or 3 minutes left in the game, he decided he like to be running around after the ball instead of stuck in "the box." :)
Kaley's first game was the next night! She, of course, wanted to be goalie first! (I don't know what it is with my kids and the goalie position. That was my LEAST favorite position to play when I did little soccer.)
She is hilarious to watch when she plays though! She jumps around like she has ants in her pants or like she is stepping on hot coals! She is just on her toes, ready for any action! It's funny to watch! (It really is more like prancing, and fairy jumping out there!)
Can you find Kaley's long pony tail? She is in gray. She has improved quite a bit since last year. She is more aggressive and will really try to get the ball.
The highlight of Kaley's soccer game was her GOAL!!!! She scored the first goal of the season for her team, and her FIRST GOAL EVER!!!! You can imagine the screams coming from this proud Momma's loud mouth that night! I was SO proud! This is the picture of her team giving animated high fives to each other and the coach! Kaley was thrilled!
This morning at breakfast, she was grinning still. She asked us if we remembered "that kick." As in, that infamous kick, that I'm sure I will never forget! Proud Momma Moment!
The littler ones were getting antzy, so what do we do? Take self snap shots. :) It was windy, hence the lovely hair. :)
Here's Kaley the Super Soccer Star! Way to go! We hope to see many more from our Sporty Sister!
