June 6th we told the kids that we were going to Bear Lake! Just like that. We packed up, and left! Jar was in town, Mom and Dad were going, and Aunt Robyn and Uncle Alan were letting us stay at their cabin there. Thomas had a minor melt down in the car after I told him we were going to Bear Lake. He said, "Mom, usually when we go on a trip, you write in on the calendar for like a month. Then we make lists of things for us to pack and food to buy. Then we pack and get all ready to go. THEN we go." He was a little worried that there wouldn't be enough food, that we wouldn't have everything that we needed, and that there just wasn't enough time for his brain to be ok with going on a trip. It's my fault he is the way he is.
Grandma and Grandpa brought the kayaks too, so it was so fun! I don't remember ever going to Bear Lake, so it seemed all new to me! The water was gorgeous!
One of those cabins on the hill is Aunt Robyn's.
There was a spot out there on the sandbar that Josh was sinking and the kids around him were staying put. It made the kids feel pretty tall.
Grandma and Grandpa brought their Rhino too - so there were lots of rhino rides!
Ipads and phones to play on in the morning.
A pool to swim in too!
We had a fire one night and roasted marshmallows.
We did have to go into town for a famous raspberry shake!
My favorite pic of the trip! Warming up in the hot tub with the whole group!
