Bella had Garfield County for her county report this year in 4th Grade! I love our tradition of visiting the counties to learn more about them! We had never been to Garfield county, so it was an adventure! We went over a longer weekend in March and loved what we saw! The weather is always risky in March, but we took the chance!
We visited Panguitch - the county seat.

We stayed in Bryce and went to Bryce Canyon National Park - with our handy 4th grader, we got in for free! We have never been to BC, and it was so cool! It was snowy and quite chilly, but wow! What a wonderful place! We still did a few hikes and enjoyed the beauty there!

We took the scenic route through most of the county to Escalante. I had NO idea this part of Utah existed!
Then we stopped to find some Indian Petroglyphs. We got a little lost out there in the wilderness, but eventually found it!
We had dinner at the Boots Cafe in Escalante - it was cute!
Our hotel was nice and new, with a great pool!

We hiked the Lower Calf Falls hike.
We drove WAY too far into the mountains to see Hell's Backbone.
We stopped at the Anasazi State Park to learn a little about the Native Americans there.
We really do live in such a great state! It is fun to explore these new places with our kids!
