Spring Break 2018 - Part 1

Spring Break this year, we went to California with Lyss, Dani, Dave and their kids. It was SO much fun! I'm not sure any Spring Breaks will be able to beat it! Lyss drove in our car, making it a party! We left before Sunday Conference, and listened on the way there. The first session was easy peasy to listen to, but the second we were hit or miss during a couple of the talks. We did get to hear a couple of the BIG announcements and that made for such a great ride! So many times when I couldn't contain my tears of happiness! The Spirit testified again and again of the truthfulness of the Gospel. Surrounded so close by my family, my heart was SO full!

We took a break in St George for a bathroom break, and a picnic lunch stop at the Crack. The kids love playing here!

We got to our condo in Chula Vista later that evening. First thing the next morning, we went to Walmart and Costco to stock up on food for the week! We had planned our meals and ingredients we'd need before we left, so it was really just a grocery list! It was so fun to play house with my sisters! Life really couldn't get any better!

Then it was to the BEACH!!!! We went to Imperial Beach - the one by Chula Vista - that day. My soul is happiest when I'm at the beach.

We searched for sea shells, gathered seaweed (weirdos!), walked down to the pier, and sat in the sand. It was heaven!

With Benters around, there was no shortage of entertainment!

Next we headed out to the tide pools!!! We have not ever been able to time this right, and we were cutting it close again this day! They close the gate at like 5, but the low tide is after 4. So we squeezed in and had SO much fun! Previous times, there have even been emergency vehicles there that have shut down the place early! As we were leaving this time, there were sirens coming down the mountain. Glad we still got to see the cool tide pools!

There were lots of little hermit crabs! That was super fun.
