A Fall Day at the Park

Yesterday, we tried a new park in Mapleton. The kids LOVE finding new parks, so I am always on the lookout for fun parks! Now, we are looking for parks that are close to home with LOTS to do! The kids loved all the things to do at this park. They started by playing on the playground. Bella loved all the slides, Thomas loved all the things to climb, and Kaley loved EVERYTHING! You will have to notice all the beautiful colors of the leaves in the background of almost every picture!

We had to try out the tire swing. They had a tire swing at Seven Peaks that the kids loved, but this one was MUCH easier to stay on, as it wasn't wet!

There was this little white gazebo that the kids loved running around in. The floor was metal, so it made LOTS of loud noises!

We explored and found a liberty bell. We had to "gong it."

We walked around the whole park and found leaves. The kids love to collect leaves right now.

We also explored the little pioneer cabin and took a rest in the shade. Here they are showing off their leaf findings! Another favorite part, was the sidewalk! I know, right?! They had put imprints of different animal footprints and leaves, butterflies, dragonflies, and flowers! They had fun pretending to be "Super Sleuths" just like Tigger and Pooh. It was funny to hear their explanations for the footprints! What a fun park! Can't wait to go back!

FHE - A Campfire

For FHE last night, we went up the canyon to this little spot we found by a stream. We brought hot dogs and marshmallows to roast. The kids thought this was the BEST! Here they are splitting the wood.

And...BONDING! This was one of the best family activities! I felt like we might be able to still do things as a family with 5 kids! (Granted the twins slept in the car the whole time, but still!) On the way home, the kids kept saying, "Thanks! That was so fun! When can we do it again?" It is fun to be a Mommy and Daddy and put that smile of pure joy on your child's face! I wish I could have gotten a picture of Thomas' face when he took his first bite of S'mores! So cute! Kudos to Josh for being such a COOL Dad and making this happen!

Sunday drive up the Canyon

It is a tradition to go on Sunday drives during the Fall to look at the pretty colored leaves. Sunday, we went to Bridal Veil Falls and walked around. The kids loved the water fall! Dad took the older three, and Mom stayed in the car with the babies.

Here are the babies! We couldn't leave them out of the pictures! Sophie had her first blow-out during this trip, but it wasn't discovered until we got home. :) Good times.

Clarissa's Choir Concert

On Saturday night, we had a girls night out with Dad and went to Clarissa's All State Choir concert downtown. It was awesome! I am so glad to have a sister still in choir - that way I have an excuse to attend a concert every now and again! We went to Olive Garden after and laughed so hard, we may or may not have embarrassed ourselves! :) We had to get a picture of this fun occasion! The only one we could catch of Dad was when he was driving us out of the parking lot - what a good sport to hang out with his girls for the night! We had so much fun! Thanks Lyss, for the excuse to chill with my girls! :)

Camo's Birthday at Brick Oven

The Putnam side was in town this weekend for a wedding and a baby blessing. We got together for Camo's birthday at Brick Oven on Friday night. It was so fun to see everyone! We had cupcakes with brilliant blue frosting for treats! Here's Dad showing off his blue tongue!

Wish I Was Here...

Almost every year, my family has gone to Idaho during Fall Break. We usually go to Papa and Grandma's Ranch home in Jerome, then spend a couple days at beautiful Muldoon Ranch. The Fall colors there are amazing! It is one of the most beautiful places on Earth in my book! Today, I am dreaming of days when we can go again!

The twins wore their first outfits today! I decided that I was getting sick of the same jammies and sleepers, so I made an occasion out of today! These outfits were given to me by a friend at my baby shower. Aren't they adorable? I just LOVE these babies!

BYU ducks

Yesterday, we met up with Danielle on campus to feed the ducks. We are still trying to do things outside while we still can, and we figured we hadn't seen Dani in a while, so we went to visit! The kids had a blast feeding and chasing the ducks. I'm sure Danielle enjoyed the break as well! Can you believe how many ducks there are? All those baby ducklings that we saw in the Spring were still there, just bigger!

This week Kaley is the VIP in her preschool. She colored this whole poster! She is becoming quite the artist! She loves to color! Mom and Aunt Lyssa helped, but Kaley told us which colors to use and what order to put them in! Everything had to have a pattern to it! What a girl!

Bella and Max

Bella looked so cute the other day, and I wanted to take her picture. She saw Max coming and wouldn't let me take her picture unless Max was sitting by her! He sat down and she immediately grabbed his hand! My college roommates will say that she is my kind of girl! :)
