Room for 5 carseats!

With much sadness, (and a few tears), we sold our Pilot this weekend. I discovered a couple weeks ago that 5 carseats were really not going to fit in our car, and I would not have ANY room for a stroller or diaper bag. So we set off car shopping! We set our sights on a Toyota Sequoia. We kept our eyes peeled on every used car website we could think of. Once we found the one that we wanted, the offers came in for our Pilot. It was perfect timing! We were able to sell the Pilot and buy a new car in the same weekend! This SUV will be a great car for us! All 5 carseats will fit nicely, with room for a stroller and all the bags I can carry!

I also thought I'd throw in a little belly shot for those who are wondering what almost 32 weeks with twins looks like. It would be nearly impossible to tell you how uncomfortable 32 weeks is. We are hanging in there, and hoping for strong, healthy babies in a few more weeks!

Party at Putnam's

Saturday, we spent the afternoon in Sandy! The kids played with Dani and Lyss, Drew and Emily, and of course, Grandma and Grandpa! We had dinner and played outside. We are so lucky to have family so close!

24th of July

This year for the 24th, Josh took the kids to the Spanish Fork parade in the morning. I stayed home with Bella and chilled in the air conditioned house. :) Then we trekked up to Kaysville for some much needed swimming. We came home and went to the carnival here. Bella loved the rides! She was so excited to wave at Mom around every curve! So cute! Then we stopped and got a cold, sweet treat from Sonic. We did some fireworks in our back yard. Then it was getting kinda windy, so we took the kids inside and let them play with their glow sticks with all the lights off! They were so worn out, that they didn't even make it to see the big firework show. As far as they were concerned, it was a party day!

Keeping the kiddos entertained

Josh has done such a good job at keeping our little ones happy this summer when I am too hot to take them outside. Last Sunday, Josh let the kids paint. We could only find one kid paint brush, so Josh made one using an old toothbrush and a pencil. Can you say "amazing?" We are glad to have him around!

Primary Pioneer Parade

We had another successful Primary activity! We had biscuits and juice, told pioneer stories, and sang a pioneer song. Then we hopped on our scooters/bikes/wagons and had a parade through our neighborhood! We ended the whole party with Otterpops! I think the kids had a good time!

Ward Pool Party

Last weekend, our Ward had a pool party at the local pool. Our kids had a blast! They loved going down the slide with their Dad. Bella loved just swimmin' around in her tube. The second I put her binky in her mouth, she was ready to get out! She was so tired! I love how swimming wears them out!

30 weeks!!!

So here you have it! This was actually taken on Sunday, but you get the idea....big as a barn! :) We saw the Dr. this week. Nothing really exciting to report. I start going to see him every week now! Yikes! He also told me that we are just trying to get to 36 weeks! That's only 6 weeks away!!! Ahhhhh! It was a wake up call! So between Dr. check ups, non stress tests, and ultrasounds - we are seeing someone every week, and sometimes twice a week! I am still hopeful for a "regular" birth, but preparing myself for a c-section. Pray that our babies will end up head down!
We are doing well - just trying to stay cool and entertained! Josh took the day off yesterday to give me an entire down day! It was lovely! I did get a little bored, but I didn't have to be the Mom all day long! Josh took the kids on a bike ride, rented movies, washed the cars, and let them swim out in the little pool. The kids were exhausted by the end of the day (and so was Josh!). Maybe I'll have to schedule a few more of these days before the babies come! ;)

Swimming with friends

Kaley's friend, Hannah, invited us over to come swim one day last week. The kids had a blast! They got to be outside, swim, and have popsicles! What could be better?!

Babies update

We had another ultrasound today! I am surprised at how big our babies are getting! Baby Brother is 3 lbs 6 oz, and Baby Sister is 3 lbs 4 oz! No wonder I am so huge! They are measuring almost 2 weeks ahead of schedule! They haven't changed my due date or anything, but this just means that our babies are healthy and BIG for twins! The only real news is that Baby Brother is bottom down, and Baby Sister is snuggled right up next to him in a funky sideways postition today! I am going to have to have a sit down chat with these two! Don't they know that Mommy is terrified to have a C-section?! I am still hopeful for a flip of both, but am now fully preparing for a C-section. (deep breath) They also had me schedule to start non-stress tests in a few weeks. This is normal with twins - basically it sounds kinda boring! I hope I will have a good book to read! Or maybe I can catch up on sleep! :) There you have it! I am doing good. I think I may be the only one that has been grateful for the cooler June weather! It has made for a much more bearable Summer! It is nice to be able to take the kids to Seven Peaks too, but it wears me out to go! I go in to see my OB Dr next week, so if I get any news you'll hear it!

4th of July

Our 4th was spent in Kaysville with Josh's family. We swam...

and watched Uncle Tanner, Uncle Cam, and Dad put on a firework show.

After our little show was done, we drove up to the school, sat on blankets and watched the Kaysville city firework show! Our kids were not that into the firework show, they just liked their glo-sticks! I think I will take some everywhere I go just to keep them entertained! I didn't hear a peep out of Bella for about 2 hours! Our kids were worn out by the end of the day!
