Oh July. You always make me happy! It's hot, there are TWO holidays, and lots of parties!
We spoiled the kids with tickets to the Carnival for Fiesta Days this year. In some years, we skip it altogether, but this year we made it work! The kids rode a few rides - all the big ones - and hung out with friends.

The 24th of July is my favorite in our town! It's the Fiesta Days! We go to the parade in the morning every year. We almost always sit with the Murrays, and it's just my favorite!

This year, our good friend Erika had a party with a taco truck for lunch! So we headed down the street to hang out at Farmers Insurance for a bit! The Roach's were there, so Kaley and Jace were thrilled. There was food involved, so Thomas was happy! And the girls are just good to hang out - they helped with Roach's babies and ate yummy food. Such a fun afternoon!
I got a new phone in July! Woot! It has the fancy "portrait" mode! Here's a few in the kitchen from when we were figuring it out! Me getting a new phone, meant that Kaley got a phone number! She's had an iPod for a few years, but since she has had SO much soccer this Summer, it really was time! It has helped to keep track of her, and give her a way to get in touch with me whenever.
24th afternoon, we swam and played outside. It was weird this year because my family had a few things come up, so they didn't come down to hang out and watch fireworks. So we just played as a family. Then we went over to Roach's house to watch an outdoor movie and watch fireworks with friends! Fun night!
Josh and I got to be with one of my YW, Hannah Holmes, in the Provo City Center Temple as she received her endowment! What a neat experience!
Dave and Danielle had a bunch of extra tickets for Dave's work Lagoon Day one Saturday in July! So we dropped everything to go party! I haven't been to Lagoon since I was in HS!!! The kids loved it, and rode SO many rides! This little tribe of mine are quite the thrill seekers! It was a SUPER hot day, so we also played in the water part of the park lots!
Dress ups at Grammie's
Rodeo Time!!! We buy these tickets in March, so it feels like FOREVER for Rodeo day to come!
Lots of swimming in our pool with friends!
Bella and Sophie did the Jr Drill Clinic at the HS. I love that they love to dance. They loved every minute of dressing up in their outfit, wearing make up, and dancing with all those girls!
With High School soccer try outs at the end of July, we found out that Kaley made the Soph/Freshman team! Woot! She has worked so hard all Summer and is SOOOO excited!!!!
Danielle and I planned a camping trip in July. We went up Ogden Canyon to Pineview Reservoir. It was a lovely spot! What we didn't know - I don't even think the weather man knew.... - was that it would storm the LOUDEST storm that night. We went to bed about 11/11:30, and were woken up at midnight by loud thunder and bright lightning. It was CRAZY how much it rained! There was a good hour of lightning show and thunder booms! I was actually scared. Don't worry, we survived! Everything was soaked though! We had considered staying 2 nights, but after the thorough soaking, we opted to pack up and only stay the one night.
The kids played in the water that evening - it was gorgeous! The sunset and view was fantastic!
The next morning was still rainy and chilly. After we packed up, we went for a walk around. It sprinkled on us most of the way.
The rain did clear a little bit and the kids played in the water for a while.
Thomas was in heaven! He fished the whole day.
And then the wind and rain picked back up again and it was time to go!
Jace created this house out of paper. His creative mind! Notice all his architecture details!
An inside look at the dining room table.
Jace's best friend organized a baseball game with a million boys from the neighborhood. I loved that they wore their uniforms from whatever teams they are on!
We went to BYU to feed the ducks and have lunch.
Thomas left for his week long scout camp out. They went backpacking in the Uintahs. He had a great time, but boy did we miss him! Sophie was super sad to see him go! I did good dropping him off, but then sobbed after I got home. :( I'm not sure how I will do a mission, or college!!! One week was too much!
Then his wonderful leaders would send pictures like this, and I would start crying all over again! They got rained on pretty good almost every day. They would hike to a lake, fish, camp and then do it again the next day. T loved all the fishing!
On Thursday night, T caught this big fish! He was SO thrilled! He kept this one, and brought it home to cook up!
