Island Park - Part 2

Here's some more fun!  The kids catch minnows all day!

Thomas caught a fish!  Not just a minnow!  He was SO excited!  And from that minute on, he had an audience!

And off they go to show Grandpa!

The highlight of this trip was Grandpa teaching T how to gut a fish.  It was so fun!  What a special memory.

Then J was determined to try to catch a fish too.  Ha!

T cooked it up and ate it!

We had to end the last light of day fishing some more.  T was in heaven!

The next day was spent playing a little in the morning before we had to jet home so I could be home for Sunday to be released from YW.

Island Park - Part 1

Our trip to Island Park was a short one this year!  We crammed as much in as possible!  We rented a boat this year with Josh's siblings, and a bunch of us brought up our kayaks.  There were Rhino rides, 4-wheeler rides, walks around the island, and of course - playing in the water for hours!  I sure love seeing all these cousins together!  There are quite a few now!  With Tricia's new 7, we had quite the crew!  We were missing Jar and her fam, and Staci and her bunch.

I went out with the big kids to take pics while they water skied.  These kiddos are pretty awesome!  Kaley is a pro, and pops right up almost every time.  What a sporty chica!

T tried this year too!  As with every first time - there were plenty of crashes, but he did get up!

Then those teens and pre-teen cousins convinced me to get in and try!  That face is wondering what the heck am I doing?!  I really don't love getting IN the lake.  There are floaties, fish and it's cold!  But, I did it!  I hopped in, and Kaley documented the whole thing.
Chalae coached me on getting up out of the water, and I was determined!

I did crash a couple of times, but then I actually got UP out of the water!!!  The funny thing is, as I was getting up, I was thinking - OK, now what?!?!?!  Nobody told me what to do after you actually get out of the water!!!!

So gracefully, down I went.  Ha!  Did you enjoy all those faces?!  I was seriously SO excited that I got up, and was terrified that I was going to crash because I didn't know what to do next!
After another fall, I got back up for reals!  I think I stayed up for like 7 mins!  It felt like forever!  Chalae drove me over by the cabin so I could shout and show off! Again, all my faces of sheer joy and excitement!  I'm not nearly as graceful as my bestie Lacie, but I was channelling her super skier vibes! ;)

Of course, there were times I nearly fell again - but I stayed up!
