Pioneer Day

We started the day off at the parade on Main Street. We were lucky enough to get a spot right in front of Josh's work! Yahoo! We were so hot by the end though! The kids loved it, and had fun catching candy.

Kaley loved the Las Chalitas from Spanish Fork High. They were dancing to "California Gurls," her favorite song!

We went home after the parade to cool off a bit. We had lunch, and then hit the Carnival! The kids each picked a couple of rides each. It was hot, but fun!

This picture cracks me up! The kids were in line, gave their tickets and were ready to find a boat to ride in, and they were all full! So they had to go back out again and wait in line. You can SEE the disappointment on their faces!

Finally! On a boat ride. This ride is ridiculously loud! Each boat has two bells to ring, and EVERY child in there is ringing their bells.

This is what Sophie looked like on the 2 minute ride home! Jace was still chipper as ever! I think he was just happy to have the air blowing on him!

Then it was off to Grandma's house to cool off in the pool! The kids have really gotten to be good swimmers thanks to swim lessons. They had fun showing off their new skills to Grandma and Grandpa! Even Bella figured out her floaty! She doesn't really need any help when she's in it.

After 4 hours of swimming, we headed back to SF to make it home in time to see the fireworks. We found a good spot in the church parking lot, and waited. The show was supposed to start at 10:15. We waited as long as we could until 10:44, and then loaded up to head back home. Just as we were leaving the parking lot at 10:45, the fireworks started. We pulled over somewhere else, only to hear Thomas, Kaley and Bella whining saying how tired they were and how they wanted to go home. So we headed home. It was a fun day, but we were exhausted by the end! We did get a few pictures of us waiting for the fireworks to start, even though we didn't really see any! :)

A night out with the Girls....and Aaron

Friday night, the girls met up again for dinner at Chilis. We were even lucky enough to have Aaron meet us there too. We had a great time laughing and remembering crazy things we did. I am so glad I have these girls! It is crazy that we have known each other for almost 10 years!!!

Carousel and Swim Lessons

Thursday last week, we went up to have a BBQ with my family. Uncle Don and Aunt Jill and their family were visiting from Texas! The kids and I met Dani, Drew and my Mom at the mall for a little shopping on the way up. Grandma treated the kids to a carousel ride. The picture above is funny, if you know what is going on. :) Bella is such a good listener when we go places. She knows she is supposed to hold on to the stroller, and there is a little handle there for her too. Sophie has decided that it is much softer to lay her head on Bella's hand, rather than on her tray. It drives Bella NUTS! I just had to take a picture of it!

Last Day of Swim Lessons

On the last day of lessons, they let the kids jump off the diving board and go down the slide. I did my best to watch both kids do the opposite things, at the same time. :) Thomas was so brave and went off the diving board FIRST! It was nothing to him!
