Last Days of School!

The last week of school was pretty crazy!  Josh was out of town for work for most of the week.  Lyss came and stayed with me.  I helped with a couple of class parties - Thomas' was fun, but I have no pictures.  It was a rough day for him.  He was so excited about the chance to make Student Council - He tried out, gave a speech, had an interview, and ultimately didn't make it.  He found out on the day of his party.  When I got there, he had just found out, and was not handling it ok.  He was sobbing.  At school.  That's when you know it was bad!  I felt SO bad!  So that's why there are no pics of that day - he really didn't want to even be there.

 Jace and Sophie with our favorite Mrs Moody!  She has been the perfect teacher for these two this year!  I will miss seeing her every week!  I helped SO much in her class just because she had an open door - come whenever you want!  

 We missed a picture with Thomas' teacher, but I did get one of him with Miss Brassfield - his 4th grade teacher- who is moving to SLC next year.  

 I helped with Kaley's 6th grade party too.  They made ice cream, played water games, and partied!

 I can NOT believe that this girl is going to Junior High next year!!!

Just like that another school year is done!  I loved being SO involved with the school through PTA this year.  It has been crazy busy, but I wouldn't trade it!  I was stressed out lots- and went to way more meetings that I ever imagined I would have to attend!  But I made so many new friends - so many moms that are making it happen.  So many women to look up to.  It forced me to be even more organized with my time and energy.  It was esp tricky to balance YW, family and PTA this year - I'm not sure I mastered that, pretty sure I failed most of the time.  The juggling act was hard.  I felt like if I game 100% to one thing, the others completely fell to the wayside.  There were days that I did good, but even more days that PTA was ignored at the expense of YW.  Family was ignored for PTA. And everything else blown off for family time.  What a crazy year!  I was stretched and challenged more that I ever thought possible!  I am so grateful for this last year of ALL my kids at the same school!  Let the REAL crazy begin! ;)

Sawyer's 3rd Birthday Party

After the recital, we had a party for Sawyer's birthday!  We had just finished the sand pit under the future (hopefully this Summer) treehouse!  Sawyer loves it!  

 This boy has quite the fan club!  I am so grateful for cousins for my kids!  It's *almost* like they have younger siblings.  They dote on them, carry them around, chase them, tease them, love them - it's a blessing.

 Danielle bought a pinata for Bubbs.  He LOVES trains right now!

 I went to TGP with Danielle to take pics the kids for Sawyer's 3 year old pics and Izzy's 18 month pics.  I sure do love these babies!

Spring Piano Recital

In years past, I have either done a Spring Recital OR a group lesson.  This year, I did both!  I finally figured out how to use the recital hall in the basement of Boothe Bros Music on Main St, so I signed us up for a Saturday time.  I loved seeing these kids play on a fancy piano!  I assigned each kid a classical song for this recital, and let them choose another song - whatever kind they wanted - for their second piece.  It was so fun to see all their choices!  We learned about their different composers, and even ended up playing a game with what they learned at the group lesson.  

 All my fantastic students!  Look at those boys!  My boys outnumber my girls at recitals!  :)  It was a great recital!  I also had a bunch of new members into our One Minute Club, One Minute Gold, and Key Signature Club!  Lots of hard work going on in lessons!
